Protein conformation in a vaccine mattersVirus-like particles (VLPs) are increasingly being considered as vaccine candidates for a variety of human and animal pathogens. Our results demonstrate that the conformation of antigens in VLPs is of critical importance for optimal stimulation of protective as well as durable immune responses.
