Abstract

Republican-led health reform, declared dead at least twice this year, has arisen once again and could very well pass after July 4 reports our health policy analyst Rachel Gershon in STAT. Gershon discusses the effects the Senate health care bill could have on health insurance exchanges, and why provisions in the bill would bring back issues individuals grappled with before the Affordable Care Act was passed n 2010. If passed in its current form, the bill would make the individual market less equitable and affordable, and lead to the loss of insurance for 22 million people by 2026.
