Summary: This chapter focuses on adolescent victims of rape. Rape entails an assault acted out sexually, rather than a sexual act per se. Not only is rape an unchosen act for the victim, but it also causes health risks unchosen by the victim. In this chapter, information is provided on rape, not chronic sexual abuse, such as incest.
