Abstract

Yet even if variants evolve by some other mechanism, or their origins remain obscure, the insight about the pandemic that comes from studying mutations in SARS-CoV-2 sampled from chronic infections in immunocompromised hosts remains as valuable as ever, serving an Oracular function in the pandemic.
