Abstract
This presentation provides an overview of the research study designs used in epidemiological studies. Topics include: understanding the various types of studies (descriptive, cohort, case control, RCT); understanding which types of questions can be answered by each type of study, strengths and limitations; understanding which types of data analysis are used for each type of study; reviewing examples from journal articles.
