dc.description.abstract | This presentation will highlight the critical need for improved outcome prognostication tools for critically ill patients with moderate-severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Currently existing outcome prognostication tools and the notion of self-fulfilling prophecies by premature withdrawal of care will be explained. We will showcase the ongoing clinical research conducted at the University of Massachusetts Medical School with the overarching goal to improve outcome prediction for patients with moderate-severe TBI. | |
