Referencing the objectives from the Society of General Internal Medicine’s Health Equity Commission, we created a curriculum on DEI and health care disparities tailored for radiology trainees. The capstone of this curriculum is a novel DEI and Health Disparities MMC. The residents were asked to reflect on the DEI curriculum and identify cases in which patient outcomes were less than optimal stemming from issues related to DEI and health inequities. Residents also identified cases in which radiologists and staff extended resources and time to meet the needs of vulnerable patients.Source
